DNBA was renamed as the National Budget and Aid Coordination Division with transfer of aid coordination function from the Planning Commission.
NBACD was bifurcated into two separate departments – the Department of Budget and Accounts and the Department of Aid and Debt Management as part of the overall government restructuring.
As per government orders, the Planning Commission was dissolved and the Secretariat was transferred to the MoF, and renamed as the Department of Planning

Tibetan King Songtsän Gampo orders the construction of Jambay Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
Buddhism is introduced to Bhutan, replacing but not eliminating the existing Bön religious practices.
As part of the major transformation initiative, functions of the Department of Planning, Budget and Performance and Department of Macro-Fiscal and Development Finance were enhanced with the merger of planning and aid coordination with dissolution of the Gross National Happiness Commission.
